The news article ‘Internet Addiction: Too Much Time Online’ talks about the pros and cons
of the time teenagers spend on the internet. The average time being 10 hours and 45 minutes
a day more than their parents usually have to work. This shows how much our generation
relies on new technology. I think that us as teenagers spend too much time on our computers
or watching T V and not enough time outside and being active. We shouldn’t be sitting in
front of a screen all day or lying on the couch but outside hanging out with friends and
playing sports. Also the article mentions how teens stay up later on the internet and tend
to have problems with a lack of sleep. Moreover teens that are addicted to the internet can
become socially awkward which is never a good thing in today’s society and will also cause
problems when they need to find a job. I think that teens need to cut back on their time
on the internet and do other things with their time.
