The article ‘Internet Addiction: Too Much Time Online’ discusses teenagers from ages 8 to 18’s over-usages of internet and the symptoms of internet addiction. I personally believe that teenagers spend too much time online. I consider myself as a moderate internet user since I only spend average 5 hours on the internet per weekday. Since I have extracurricular activities everyday plus homework, spending time on the internet must come last. However, during the weekend, I become more out of control. Internet becomes an evil ghost that haunts me and begs me to go on it. Instead of catching up on homework, I think about reading blogs, look at clothes online, and play Tetris Battle. Of course, Facebook also traps me with endless conversations and photos. Internet is like a never-ending and borderless magnet. No matter how hard I try to focus on homework, I always end up on the internet. Reading this article makes me realize how over-usage of internet damages my physical and mental health. From now on, after reading the article, I determine to stay away from internet as much as possible until my letter grades go back up. Wish me luck!
