The article ‘Internet Addiction: Too Much Time Online’ discusses the average hours kids ages 8 to 18 spend their time online each day. I personally believe that teenagers spend too much time online. First, media devices such as TV, cell phones, and music take up half of the daily media hours. They are daily habits of youth our age which can cause a great impact towards personality, emotion, and relationship changes. Just as important, the Internet takes up the other half of the average daily time spend on media. Youth spend time socializing on social Medias such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to meet new friends on chat rather than doing homework or Sports. Teens also like to spend more time online talking their friends or playing games rather than spending time with family.
In conclusion, I think teenagers spend too much time online each day rather than doing something productive. It also makes teens lose track of time spent, and can lead to compulsive behaviours.
